East Lansing’s Annual Flushing of Water Mains Begins Today
The City of East Lansing's annual flushing of water mains begins today. The flushing will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each weekday for approximately two to three weeks.
During the program, residents within or adjacent to the project area may experience cloudy or rusty colored water. Although the discolored water is safe and does not pose a health concern, residents are encouraged to check their water prior to doing laundry or other home projects in which discolored water could present a problem.
