I live in Okemos and i"m here to tell you that on a daily basis, I see at least one or two deer every single day somewhere in the Okemos area.  I haven't seen any coyotes to speak up at this point.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is offering advice to help neighbors make their homes less appealing to coyotes as the number of coyote sightings in Michigan residential neighborhoods increases.

Experts say that coyotes will eat anything they can find.  But they will often move on to a different spot if they cannot find an easy meal.  You can also install fencing around gardens and fruit trees to keep coyotes away.  Here's more from WILX-TV 10.
