COVID-19 Testing Site in Frandor Shopping Center Working Overtime
Every time I drive by the Sparrow Frandor COVID-19 testing site, it's packed full with vehicle after vehicle. And we're talking about very long lines.
Can you imagine how many people with just colds alone are concerned about getting COVID-19 which includes the Delta Variant and now we have to worry about the Omicron variant.
No wonder there are long lines at the Sparrow Frandor COVID-19 testing site in Lansing.
Michigan is now in it's fourth major wave of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations. Just about every hospital in the Lansing area is at peak level with COVID-19 patients.
According to the Lansing State Journal:
The Frandor site can handle around 300 patients a day, testing drop-ins and those who register for appointments in advance. Foren said the site had over 500 patients Tuesday, with the bulk of that increase being unscheduled drop-ins. The site stayed open an hour past its regular 8 p.m. closing time.
Sparrow Health System's drive-thru COVID-19 testing site is the go to place where most people that I know, get tested for COVID-19 right then and there.
And we certainly appreciate all of the hard workers at the Frandor Shopping Center for working over-time just to make sure people are being taken care of.
I can honestly tell you that some of my friends have driven to the Sparrow Frandor testing site because of a cough and a few sniffles.
This is what we're up against and when people aren't sure what to do regarding their health and the possibility of catching one of the COVID variants, they head straight to the Frandor testing site to get some answers.
The Lansing State Journal also adds:
Foren said Sparrow is urging patients wanting to get a COVID-19 test at the Frandor site to register for an appointment ahead of time, which can be done through the MySparrow app.
