Q: What Christmas record had the longest chart run?

A: As far as Rock & Roll Christmas singles, it would be JINGLE BELL ROCK by Bobby Helms that logged in over 36 weeks, hitting the pop charts in 1957, '58, '60, '61 and '62. It continued on the Christmas charts in 1963-1970, '72, '73, '83, '84 and '85. As far as standards, Bing Crosby's WHITE CHRISTMAS holds the all-time record, debuting in 1942 and hitting the pop chart every Christmas season for the next twenty years. It stopped making the pop charts in 1962 but continued making the Christmas singles chart from 1963-1970, '72, '73, '83 '84 and 1985, the year the Billboard Christmas charts ended.
