Two gas stations confirmed late Monday afternoon they were both selling unleaded gasoline for $1.70 per gallon.

And prices at both the BP station, 551 W. Columbia St., and Marathon/Admiral, 125 N. Cedar St., could dip further in the coming days, according to the Lansing State Journal.

Michigan gas prices are the lowest they have been in 17 months, according to AAA Michigan.  November marked the least expensive month for the state's gas prices in two years.

Gas prices keep dipping because oil prices recently sank to a 14-month low.  There's so much oil in the global market and not enough demand to absorb it.
