Cata Bus Drivers and Mechanics Made More Than $100,000 in 2018

According to the Lansing State Journal, thirteen bus drivers and three mechanics for CATA made more than $100,000 in 2018 as drivers and mechanics logged a combined 80,297 overtime hours.

During the Danny and Monica morning show, we discussed how overtime pushed some employees above $100K annually.

As of July 2018, base pay for a bus driver topped out at $26.97 per hour and base pay for mechanics topped at $29.85 per hour, according to the union contract.

CATA has satisfied delinquent payroll taxes and $1.4 million in interest and penalties for unpaid filings between 2014 and 2016 and even recovered some of the interest and penalties.  Click on the above link for more information.
