The razing of the old Bath middle school building and the construction of a new high school are the main components of a $26.5 million proposal going before the voters on May 3.

To raise the money, Dansville Schools is seeking a 5.4 mill tax increase for up to 30 years.  The owner of a home with a taxable value of $75,000 would pay $405 more in taxes annually.

Superintendent Amy Hodgson said, the money will also pay for technology, parking and security improvements.  Amy also feels that Bath Township needs to address their aging middle school.  The Lansing State Journal has more.
