Buddy’s Pizza Restaurant to Open in Okemos Next Year

Very happy to announce that Buddy's Pizza will be opening a restaurant in Okemos sometime next year.

You know what makes Buddy's Pizza so good?  It's their well known Detroit style pizza.

My wife and I went to a Buddy's restaurant down in the Detroit area about two years ago and we flat out fell in love with their pizza!

You know what's really cool is that there are so many pizza joints out there and everyone of them has a different taste.  I've had so many different varieties of pizza over the years and can tell you that Buddy's Pizza is one of our favorites.

So in about a year, we will have a Buddy's Pizza restaurant in the Okemos area.

According to the Lansing State Journal:

The new 7,000 square-foot restaurant is planned for 2010 W. Grand River Road.  A vacant Burger King on the property was demolished this month to make way for the construction of new Buddy's, said Joelle Kruczek, a spokesperson for the company, in an email.

Now that we have that to look forward to in the near future, I thought I would give you my top 5 favorite pizza restaurants from the past and present:

1.  My Cousins Pizza.  Does anyone remember this pizza restaurant from the '70s?  I would go there every Friday night during my high school days and order a delicious pizza from My Cousins Pizza on Armstrong in Lansing.

2.  Deluca's.  Still to this day, they have the best pizza around.  They're family owned and operated and have been at the same location for many years.  You can find them on Willow Road in Lansing.

3.  Buddy's Pizza.  I now officially add them to this list because they serve up very delicious Italian food.  Once you have a slice of their specialty pizza, you'll see exactly what I'm taking about.

4.  Pizza House.  Another excellent restaurant in East Lansing.  They aren't called Pizza House for nothing.  Pizza and bread sticks are simply the best at Pizza House.

5.  Klavon's Pizzeria & Pub.  Have you been to their Mason location yet?  Wait until you try their pepperoni appetizers.  Some of the best food around.  Klavon's Pizzeria is another great choice for pizza lovers.

Okay now that I'm completely starving, we all know what's for dinner tonight!
