Bernie Sanders Visits East Lansing’s Breslin Center Today

Bernie Sanders' free event at MSU's Breslin Center takes place today (Wednesday) at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.  There are several things to keep in mind today if you plan on attending the event.

1.  Expect long lines.  Sanders drew more than 9,000 people last month in Ypsilanti.  MSU organizers want to fill all of the more than 13,000 seats at the Breslin.

2.  Bring comfortable shoes.   Parking will cost $5 at the Breslin Center or several nearby lots.

3.  Expect tight security.  MSU and East Lansing police will be on hand.  Metal detectors will screen attendees at the doors  Attendees should leave over-sized items such as backpacks and cameras at home.   You might even want to bring a book.  The Lansing State Journal tells us why!
