Beerfest and First Sunday Gallery Walk, Just a Taste of Events this Weekend
April may bring Showers, but this weekend it brings Beerfest at the Ball Park, complete with Bacon on a stick.
Movies opening include "Captain America: the Winter Soldier" starring Chris Evans and Samuel L. Jackson
It's a "Touchtone Free Movie Weekend" on 99.1 WFMK be caller 9 when you hear the sound of the touchtones and win a pair of tickets to the NCG Eastwood Cinema.
There are lots of shows at the live theatres this weekend including: "Frankie & Johnny and the Clair de Lune" at the Williamston Theatre, "The Hobbit" from the "All of us Express Childrens Theatre", "La Boheme" at MSU's Fairchild Theater, "Rock of Ages" at the Wharton Center, "Cirque Du Soleil's Verakai" the Breslin Center and the LCC Spring Dance Concert "Kings & Queens" at Dart Auditorium.
The Butterflies are Free and flying around at MSU's 4-h Childrens indoor garden. It's Family Day Saturday at the Broad Art Museum with crafts and a scavenger hunt for the kids.
While you're on the MSU campus you can also check out the programs at the MSU herbarium and across town at the Michigan Historical Center there's "Dig the past: hands on intro to archeology.
Beerfest is at the Cooley Law School Stadium Saturday from 1-6p and Shuto Con is at the Lansing Center.
