Bear and Elk Licenses for this year’s Hunting Seasons

Applications for licenses to hunt elk and bear in Michigan are available throught June 1.  The State Department of Natural Resources says 100 elk licenses and 7,831 bear licenses will be offered for this year's hunting seasons.

Only Michigan residents are eligible to apply for an elk license.  Bear licenses are available for residents and nonresidents.

Hunters can apply online at michigan.gov/hunt-drawings or at any authorized license agent or DNR Customer Service Center.
