Be a Tourist in Your Own Town gets underway on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This wonderful event involves more than 80 Lansing area attractions, including Impression 5 Museum and the State Capitol Building.

The more residents are educated about the new and exciting things in Lansing, the more they can be ambassadors, said Tracy Padot, vice president of marketing communications at the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.

A passbook is only $1 (free for ages 3 and younger)).  The passport allows you free admission to more than 80 area attractions, local businesses and special activities.  Here's more information from the Lansing State Journal.
