An Inside Look at One of Lansing’s Newest Restaurants; Ohana Sushi and Bar
In the midst of these difficult times, it is so nice to see the opening of a new business. One of the latest businesses to open its doors in Lansing is Ohana Sushi and Bar.
One of the newest restaurants to grace the Lansing foodie scene, Ohana Sushi and Bar, can be found on Lansing's west side at the old Outback Steakhouse location on Saginaw.
Don't let the name fool you. Yes, Ohana does serve sushi and drinks, but they are also an all-you-can-eat establishment. But not an all-you-can-eat buffet mind you. Oh no. At Ohana, everything is made fresh to order. So no matter what you decide on eating—whether it's hot or cold—it is not made until the moment you order it. Talk about fresh.
I absolutely love sushi. And to my knowledge, Ohana is the only "all-you-can-eat" sushi place in the area, so I definitely had to give it a try.
My guest and I decided to go for the all-you-can-eat lunch option for $16.95 per person. They bring you a laminated menu and a dry erase marker so that you can place your order. You just put a little x next to the items you would like. Want more than one of something, like a dumpling? Put a number next to it instead.
If you aren't feeling like sushi, there are plenty of other options as well. While we were there, we enjoyed some stir-fried noodle dishes, soup, salad, and various appetizers, all of which were delicious. If you want to take a look at what you can expect before you head there to dine, check out the gallery below. And yes, I was the person in the restaurant taking pictures of my food.
