According to the Lansing State Journal, more than $4.7 million for 21 parks and trails bridge repairs has been awarded to Lansing, East Lansing, Mason and Meridian Township.

The money will come from a parks and trails millage approved by Ingham County voters in November 2014.  The county Board of Commissioners approved the awards on July 26.

Lansing will receive the bulk of the money, $3.1 million for five bridge and two seawall/bank stabilization projects.

East Lansing will get $890,500 for six bridges, Meridian will receive $575,000 to improve seven bridges and Mason has been approved for about $130,000 for work on three bridges.
