I posted this old film featurette last year but I thought I'd post it again...it just may whet your appetite to take some road trips through our state sometime this summer...even though this film is from the late 1940's!

This is a pretty cool MGM color film featurette that was shown in movie theaters back in 1949. It takes us thru Mackinac island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Spikehorn Meyer's family of bears (seen above), Traverse City and more.

Watch and see what Michigan looked like back in the late 1940’s.....I’m always on the lookout for interesting items from Michigan’s past!
