Woofer Walk and 5K Saturday on Michigan State Campus

Ingham County Animal Shelter fund is holding its 9th annual Woofer Walk and 5K on Saturday May 19th.

The event will start on the campus of Michigan State University at farm Lane by the Auditorium.  Registartion is at 10 a.m.; walk starts at 11 a.m.

The Woofer Walk and 5K is the only 5K that you can competitively run with your dog.  The walk/run is along the banks of the Red Cedar River and also has options for a leisurely walk 5K, 2 mile or 1 mile walk.

There will be refreshments, a dog agility demonstration, face painting, vendors and more.  Money raised will benefit the Animal Care Fund, which helps to defer the costs of housing, medication, and veterinary care for shelter animals that have been neglected or abused.  Click here on icasfund.org for more information.
