Matthew Stafford fans are wondering if the Lions will indeed offer the Quarter Back a long term deal, keeping him with the Lions organization.   According to Matthew, that is not up to him.

With just one year left on his contract, negotiations between Stafford and the Lions are expected to heat up over the next couple of months.  The 28 year old was non-committal when asked whether he wants a new deal this off-season.   Stafford says that it is not up to him, it's up to the people upstairs, and the Fords on whether they want him or not.  Personally I am hoping for a yes.

On a side note, Matthew and his wife are expecting twin girls in the spring.

Matthew has spent eight seasons with the Lions and if offered a new deal, it could surpass 25 million dollars per year.
