What’s New for the Coming Weekend?

This weekend brings us March and the Academy Awards and a whole host of things going on around town.  "Non-Stop" starring Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore is new at the movies.

"Great Pirate Adventures" continues at the Southside Community Center from the Mid Michigan Family Theatre.  "Free Man of Color" is at the Riverwalk Black Box Theatre.

There's the "Quiet Water Symposium" at the MSU Pavilion, a chance to explore non-motorized outdoor sports like; kayaking, hiking, biking etc.  You and the kids can try out ice hockey or figure skating at the Summit Ice Arena, celebrate Dr. Suess at the Lansing City Market and "Healthfest" at "Alive" in Charlotte.

This is a First Sunday Gallery Walk Weekend with new exhibits opening at galleries in and around the Lansing area.

Of course there's always sledding and cross country skiing at our Nature Centers and Parks.
