Weekend Earthquake Rocks Michigan
12:24 Saturday afternoon, I was sitting in a chair when I felt my chair start moving. My first thought was , "what the heck?". I looked over at my husband and he had a puzzled look on his face. I said to him "was that an Earthquake?". Apparently it was.
I admit it was only a minor shaking, however that was the first time I had ever experienced something like that. According to reports it was a 4.2 on the Richter Scale.
Luckily only minor damage in the Galesburg area, which is where the Earthquake was centred. A building there had some cracks in their foundation.
This is not the first quake for Michigan, but it is the strongest to hit since the 1940's when Michigan experienced a 4.7 quake.
