I know that winter weather in Michigan is now something we don't want to think about as we are now into spring, but a winter story was news in the Courts yesterday.

Michigan resident Nick Taylor was fined this past winter for warming up his car while he waited inside his house.

Taylor from the Detroit suburb of Roseville was shocked when he went out to his running car and found he had been ticketed for leaving his car unattended, the fine was 125 dollars and he was ready to fight.

Taylor took to facebook and his post was shared more than 6 thousand times and he received more than 5 thousand comments.  However all that publicity did not sway the judge in the case who said the law is in the public's interest.  The Roseville Police Chief  has defended the ticketing saying a thief could have stolen the car.
