It seems like they kinda cancel each other out, doesn't it? Let's take one at a time...

According to a survey conducted by nationaltoday.com, "Singles Awareness Day" recognizes those who are single, for better or worse. They concluded:

1) 14% of Americans love being single. 

2) Women seem to thrive on being single more than men...only 9% of single ladies are looking for a guy while 20% of single men strive to find a girlfriend.

3) 23%-25% of single ladies say they would rather spend their Valentine's Day with their pet pooches instead of their boyfriends...only 7% of unmarried men think the same way. And by the way, 50% of Americans admit to doing something special for their pets on Valentine's Day, whether it's a treat or something out-of-the-ordinary.

NOW...according to a Valentine's Day survey of 1,000 Americans conducted by the same website just last month:

THE MOST POPULAR THINGS TO DO ON VALENTINE'S DAY DATES ARE:
5): Giving each other massages
4): Taking it easy and watching movies at home
3): Dinner at an elegant restaurant
2): Going for a walk in a romantic setting
1): Going out to dinner and seeing a movie afterward

AND SOME INTERESTING THINGS PEOPLE ADMIT ABOUT THEIR OWN VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATIONS:
5): 5% of people go on a date with someone they hooked up with on Tinder
4): 11% have been asked to get married on Valentine's Day (11%)
3): 13% admit buying themselves flowers and/or sweets for Valentine's Day
2): 14% love being single on Valentine's Day
1): 19% say 'forget candy' on Valentine's Day...gimme diamonds!
