Work on sound walls along U.S. 127 is expected to resume sometime in October.  The delay in construction will push the completion date to early December.

The $6 million MDOT project will include the construction of an 18 foot tall wall that will block noise along 4,700 feet of northbound U.S. 127, as well as a 700 foot extension of an existing sound wall along southbound U.S. 127.

Work on the project began in March, but stopped in July when workers learned of delays with the panels that will form the wall.  The Lansing State Journal has more information.
