Beware of the orange barrels.  Two separate projects will close a stretch of Hagadorn Road on the east side of Michigan State University for more than two weeks.

Canadian National Railway will be replacing a railroad crossing between Shaw Lane and Service Road.

During the work, which is expected to conclude July 22, Hagadorn Road will be completely closed between Shaw Lane and the railroad crossing.  Signs will direct motorists to detour via Farm Lane.

In the coming weeks, crews will also be resurfacing stretches of Hagadorn Road south of Mount Hope Road, which will result in periodic lane closures.  The Lansing State Journal has all the details.
