Several fans gathered at barricades near a rural portion of M-52 as filming of Transformers:  The Last Knight continued.

Production of the fifth movie in the popular Transformers action franchise is scheduled to take place in Ingham County through today as film makers capture a car chase through the rural area.

This has been very exciting for so many people to see in our area.  The Lansing State Journal says the film has been in production in Detroit and its suburbs for the past two months and is scheduled to move to Europe next.

Producers are expected to spend about $80 million of the $200 million budget for Transformers:  The Last Knight in Michigan.  This new movie is set to open in theaters on June 23, 2017.
