On Tuesday, parts of southeastern Ingham County could have received more than two inches of rain within a 30 minute period.

Water flooded an underpass on Pennsylvania Avenue near Potter Park Zoo.  It was a torrential downpour and just intense rain.

So intense, that I even lost power at my home in Okemos for close to three hours.  Consumers Energy reported about 1,800 customers without power, mostly in the Okemos area, as well as smaller numbers of outages in Eaton Rapids, Mason and Bath Township.

The Lansing Board of Water & Light reported as many as 2,206 customers were without power scattered across the area.

An estimated 60 mph wind gust was reported near the corner of Okemos and Hamilton roads in Okemos.  Some flooded roads were closed for a short time, particularly in Meridian Township.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
