As you know, high winds left thousands in the Lansing region without power.  Crews are working around the clock to restore power to thousands of Lansing area customers who lost power Wednesday.  Some residents could enter the weekend without power.

The Lansing Board of Water & Light expects to restore power to its customers by today.  Thousands of other Consumers Energy customers in the Lansing area may be out of power into Saturday.

DTE Energy customers in southeastern Ingham County may not have power until Sunday. More than one million utility customers between DTE Energy and Consumers Energy lost power Wednesday as gusts over 60 mph hit the state.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Meridian Township opened the community room at the Central Fire Station at 5000 Okemos Road, as a warming center.
