This is National Volunteer Week and McLaren Greater Lansing is recognizing and celebrating the efforts of the more than 500 dedicated adult and student volunteers who donated more than 86,000 hours of their time last year.

Deb Quinn, director of volunteer services at McLaren Greater Lansing, is proud to have the special honor of working with the volunteer staff at the hospital.

Volunteers have the opportunity to help in more than two dozen service areas.  Volunteer opportunities include working in clerical services, the emergency department, patient transport, the admitting desk and much more.

McLaren volunteers go out of their way every day to make happy stories possible, and play a primary role in promoting the hospital's philosophy of providing exceptional care for Every Patient, Every Time.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
