Watching the tall ships approaching is an amazing site and soon they will be heading into Muskegon.  These ships are replica tall ships of the Nina and the Pinta, they are 'Museum ships' that belong to the Columbus Foundation.  The ships will be in West Michigan on August 25th through the 29th, and tours will be offered daily.

If you are still kicking around what to do on vacation this year, I highly recommend catching the ships.  The 65 foot Nina is the most historically accurate Christopher Columbus replica ship ever built.  According to MLive, the 85 foot Pinta is another replica Columbus ship.

Both of these Tall Ships are wonderful examples of ships that were built in the 15th century.  For kids, and adults, it is like walking through a museum on water.

Totally worth the drive to see.
