An airline industry trade group says you better buckle up if you're taking to the skies this Thanksgiving holiday season, it's going to be the busiest in years.

Airlines 4 America is predicting around 25.3 million passengers on U.S. airlines during the 12 day travel period surrounding Thanksgiving from Friday, Nov. 20 through Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The projections for 2015 mark an 800,000 person increase over last year's estimated 24.5 million airline passengers, with an additional 65,000 more people boarding flights each day.

Thursday, Nov. 26, Thanksgiving Day...is expected to be the least busy in, around, and above airports, with the traditional post Turkey Day traffic on Sunday, Nov. 29 anticipated to be a real turkey for travelers.
