A new study released by the University of Michigan, finds teens are getting less and less sleep.

The research involved nearly 300 thousand teenagers over two decades.  Researchers blame increasing use of social media...smartphones...and other electronics as the reason teens are losing sleep.

According to WILX-TV 10, they also say rising rates of obesity are a factor.  Obesity is linked with sleep deprivation.

Other data suggests early school start times play a role, and some are pushing for later times for teens.
