On the Air: 

It’s a touchtone free movie weekend.  be caller 9 when you hear the sound of the wfmk touchtones and win a pair of tickets to the NCG Eastwood Cinema’s It's also a Retro weekend as we welcome Summer!

Festivals:

The Summer Solstice is the theme of several events this weekend including the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival in downtown East Lansing plus the Festival of the Moon and the Festival of the Sun in Old Town.  Scrapfest is also a part of the festivals in Old Town.  Yankee Doodle Days continues in Grand Ledge and the Red Cedar Jubilee wraps up in Williamston.  The 42nd annual Charlotte Bluegrass Festival is at the Eaton County Fairgrounds, Lansing's Juneteenth Celebration is at St. Joe Park and the Dam Festival is in Eaton Rapids.

Theatre:

There's Theater on the River at the MSU Summer Circle Theatre on the bank of the Red Cedar River at MSU featuring "Detroit" at 8pm and "The Weird" at 10pm.  At The Ledges Playhouse Over the Ledge theatre group has "In the Next Room"

Other: 

There's Bee Palooza at the MSU Horticultural Gardens and the Corpse Flower is ready to bloom at MSUToo.

There's also plenty of opportunities to learn like:  Garden Construction at the Hunter Park Community Garden House Saturday morning and learn to make Jams and Jellies during "Jam to the Solstice" at the Lansing City Market on Saturday afternoon.  From 1-6 Saturday you can learn to to Homebrew an Oktoberfest Lager

Nature Centers:

Saturday morning is a stewardship morning at the Harris Nature Center and you can walk the trails at any of our beautiful Nature Centers including Fenner and Woldumar.
