Spring is just a week away and that means Zoos will start to wake up.  Animals and people have many things in common.  One of them, we're all more active in spring.

Lansing's Potter Park Zoo extends its hours each year on April 1.  Visit the zoo's new gray wolves or stop by and say hello to the zoo's second Alaskan moose.  And the zoo's rhinoceros may be back too.

Binder Park Zoo, near Battle Creek opens April 16.  It includes a unique savannah environment with giraffes, impalas, zebras and more.

If you still want a taste of winter, visit the Arctic Ring of Life at the Detroit Zoo and check on the penguins, who will get a new home this year.
