Spider the Size of a Puppy

October is usually filled with all kinds of haunts and scares, but this story will totally freak you out!  Just a hint:  There are spiders out there the size of a puppy!  According to a story in the Christian Science MonitorThe South American Goliath Birdeater Spider is a rare sight in the rainforest in guyana.

Even though the Goliath Birdeater doesn't actually eat birds as a rule, it's has been known to kill the parents and chicks and to drink from birds eggs which just makes it creepier if you ask me.  Complete with legs that sound like horses hooves and 2 inch fangs this spider will not kill you but it's hairs have barbs that it sends out and make you uncomfortable for a couple days.  I don't know about you but just seeing it is going to make me uncomfortable for a couple of days.  Click here to see the pictures and the whole story
