Singing Valentines for Lansing area

Barbershop quartets will fan out across the area to deliver singing valentines to hundreds of special sweethearts Feb. 14. The sound of harmony will ring out in offices, restaurants, schools, factories and homes.

The quartets are members of the Lansing Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America Inc. and several others. A typical singing valentine costs $40 and includes two songs sung in barbershop harmony, a Valentine's Day card and chocolates.
