Shake Shack, the New York based burger chain, opened its first Michigan location today in downtown Detroit.

Located on the ground floor of the First National Building at 660 Woodward.  Shake Shack is known for  its classic burgers, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, shakes and fresh made frozen custard.

Shake Shack is spacious, with booth style and table settings along the street view.  The space is airy with high ceilings, exposed and track lighting, all with a rustic feel.

Mark Rosati, Shake Shack culinary director, says Detroit was a good fit because it's pretty awesome, and the burger scene and culture is amazing.  Here's more from the Detroit Free Press.
