Fourth of July falls on a Wednesday this year, which means fireworks shows and community events will take place throughout the week and weekend.

The City of Lansing Fourth of July Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. with the parade, starting on Allegan Street, to Capitol Avenue and then to Ottawa Street.

At 8 p.m. the Lansing concert Band will put on a concert at Adado Riverfront Park, followed by fireworks at dusk.

The Corunna Fourth of July celebration will have activities for all ages, including the annual belt sander drag race, an arts and craft show, bingo, a car show, and fireworks at dusk.

Mason's Independence Day celebrations begin with the 31st annual County Seat Old Car Club Show at 9 a.m. around the Ingham county Courthouse.  Fireworks will take place at the Ingham County Fairgrounds as well.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
