This Sunday, our local communities will honor the firefighters and police officers who lost their lives on 9/11/01 in New York City.  We will remember our fallen heroes with speakers, recognition awards, and more.

On Sunday. Lansing Remembers will take place at Wentworth Park, corner of Grand and Michigan Avenue in Lansing from 8:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.  Join the Lansing Fire and Police Departments, with Mayor Virg Bernaro, in remembering the events of 9/11/01.  Keynote speaker will be retired Major General Thomas Cutler, Michigan National Guard.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony and Mason Cares at James M. Pelton Memorial Fire Station, 221 W. Ash St. in Mason at 1 p.m.  There will be a memorial ceremony at 7 p.m. to honor the firefighters and police officers who lost their lives.

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Williamston Fire Station, 1296 W. Grand River Ave., Williamston, 3 p.m.  Remember our fallen heroes with speakers, recognition awards, blessing of the helmets and more.
