Beware: Latest Phone Scams

If you've received any phone calls from a 720 area code, beware. They'll tell you that there is a summons for your arrest and you should call them and straighten out the situation before they issue the summons to your workplace. DON'T FALL FOR IT.

I've received quite a few of these bogus calls in the last few days...report them if you get them and DO NOT call them back or give them any info on yourself or anybody else in the household.

The Ingham County Sheriff's office has a similar problem; they say a caller with a foreign accent identifies himself as a member of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, "telling people there's a warrant out for their arrest and they need to pay up to avoid getting arrested."

Just hang up, delete from your voicemail and report the number if possible.
