Ruby Tuesday plans to close 95 of its 724 restaurants by September as it tries to cut costs and stem losses.  They haven't said whether any Michigan locations will be on that list.

The company says it has been losing money because of increased competition and a decline in consumer spending on casual dining.

CEO JJ Buettgen said in a statement:  The decision to close restaurants is a difficult but necessary step as we take aggressive actions to strengthen our organization.

Full time and part time employees impacted by closures will be offered positions in nearby restaurants where possible.  Here's more from the Detroit Free Press.
