Killer-size waves , and dangerous conditions are expected on Lakes Michigan and Lake Huron today.

North winds will increase during the late morning and early afternoon.  Waves will increase in size in those places where north winds build big waves.  Two favorite swimming segments of Great Lakes shorelines will be dangerous.

Three to six foot waves are considered the most dangerous wave size.  Waves bigger than 6 feet tend to drive people out of the water, however those 3 to 6 feet entice many into thinking a fun day of body surfing , but those turn out to be very dangerous.

Dangerous rip currents and the pounding surf make for a dangerous day out in the Great Lakes.  Bottom line, today might be a great day to just go into town and do some shopping.
