Roller Derby Boot Camp Held at Westside YMCA for Women

The Lansing Derby Vixens held a boot camp at the Westside YMCA for women who want to join the team.  Some have skating experience and others have never skated before.

Active members of the Lansing roller derby said prior experience isn't a deal breaker.  Any woman, no matter her age, body type or skill level is welcome in the league and Vixens, which currently has 30 active members, wants to grow the membership.

Lansing Derby Vixens will hold three more boot camp sessions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 11, Jan. 8 and Jan. 15 at the Westside YMCA of Lansing, located at 3700 Old Lansing Road.  The cost is $15.  The Lansing State Journal has more information.
