According to the Lansing State Journal, Michigan officials recently released a revamped version of a state license plate that was once voted the world's best after police complained it wasn't easy enough to see.

The redesigned plates have a more subtle yellow-orange background with black letters.  They have now been in circulation for about a month.

The new plates were tested by the Michigan State Police and the Secretary of State at a closed driving track in Lansing.
