It goes with out saying that one of the most beautiful places to visit is Michigans Upper Peninsula.  Sort of an unspoiled beauty.  This summer, there are some really great places that are worth checking out, in fact MLive wrote a great article, check it out on their web site.

One fact that I recently learned was that around 23% of Michigan residents have never been to the U.P.  So that would make for many their very first trip over the Mackinac bridge.   The Mighty Mac is the fifth largest suspension bridge in the world, the bridge is five miles long and celebrated its 60th birthday last year.     If you are a person who has a fear of bridges, they even have escorts who will drive you across.

The U.P. is full of amazing things, my favorite being the Soo Locks.  Other sights include beautiful waterfalls, all sorts of museums, wonderful hiking areas, bottom line the full on beauty of our Upper Peninsula.

Once you are over the bridge pull into St ,Ignace for a bite to eat.  Clydes Drive In is a very popular spot.  If you eat  there try the triple patty Big C burger, it is delicious and will fill you up.  This burger has made the "best of " list many times.  Another place to try is just up the street.  Timmy Lee's Pub.  Owners Diana and Timmy Lee like to refer to themselves as the "U,P,'s Official Welcome Center.    Known for their delicious wings, made by Timmy Lee himself and served with house  made ranch and blue cheese, which are fantastic, be sure to try then.    Love crab rangoons
