The Trowbridge Plaza has been around for many years featuring Goodrich's Shop-Rite, Hobies, East Lansing Hot Yoga and several others.  What started out as plans for two apartment buildings on the site have been cut in half, the Lansing State Journal reports.

Instead of building two apartment buildings, developers are now opting to build just one.   They now want to build a five-story building with about 15,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on the ground floor and 76 apartments on the upper floors.

The only business there not included in the new plans is Goodrich's Shop-Rite.  Goodrich's is a longtime family-owned grocery store.

Goodrich's will see its lease end Aug. 31. It will be replaced by Fresh Thyme Farmers Market.
