Pink Dessert Wars on National Dessert Day

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, where Pink is the theme at Pink Dessert Wars.  It's the 2014 Battle of the Batter on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the University Club of Michigan State University.

Pink Dessert Wars will take place from 6p.m. until 9p.m.  Come sample what 30 of mid-Michigan's bakeries, caterers, pastry shops and restaurants have created as they compete for prizes and awards that incorporate the color pink or an edible ribbon in their desserts to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.

Competitors will be judged on their desserts, table decorations and use of Michigan made food products as they compete in four different prize categories, including the People's Choice Award...voted on by guests during the event who get to taste the delicious pink treats.

Please join us on National Dessert Day at the 2014 Pink Dessert Wars.  Pink Dessert Wars, Tuesday Oct. 14 at the University Club at 3435 Forest Rd. in Lansing from 6p.m. to 9p.m. $10 general admission.  Tickets available at the door.
