According to the Lansing State Journal, Jasmine Clerkley first set foot on the Breslin Center floor as an elementary student when she and teammates played on the court during the intermission of a Michigan State Women's basketball game.

That experience as a third grader provided Clerkley with an unexpected early glimpse of what is now in store for her college future.

By the way. Jasmine Clerkley is a sophomore at Okemos High School.  Clerkley has averaged 16 points, and 12 rebounds for the Okemos Chiefs this season.

Clerkley did what she said felt right Monday evening and gave a verbal commitment to play for Suzy Merchant and the Spartans in 2020.
