A state title is one of the biggest motivations for the Okemos girls lacrosse team.  The Chiefs also like being in control of their conference and continued that dominance Tuesday.

Okemos wrapped up its eighth straight CAAC title with a 16-4 victory over Haslett/Williamston in the tournament championship game.

Coach Matt Holtz said "we've had a good run, the girls are having fun.  We try to get better every day and stay positive.  That's kind of what we do."

Tuesday's game was the closest in conference play for the Chiefs, who will now start working toward getting the postseason and accomplishing their goal of winning a state championship.
