Grand Ledge raised $53 thousand dollars for their new splash pad which will open by next summer.  The splash pad will include 2,000 square feet of water jets and concrete seating at the nearly 6 acre park off East River Street.

More than 200 groups and individuals donated money to the campaign, which began in July.  The splash pad will be built between Jaycee Park's boat launch and play equipment.

It will be free to the public, and the city will be responsible for maintaining it.  Jaycee Park already includes a boat launch, paved walking trail and a basketball court.  The Lansing State Journal has more information.
