According to the Lansing State Journal, construction of a new $2 million city hall and police department building in Dewitt could start by April.

The new 10,500 square foot building is nearly double the size of Dewitt's existing city hall and police department on East Main Street, which dates back to 1956.

The new building will be constructed on the same six acre parcel the city owns on East Main Street.

The new building will include a 2,400 square foot community room that will be utilized for city recreation programming.  It will also be made available to community groups for local events.  For more information, please click on the above link.
