The Netflix docu-series Making of a Murderer Steven Avery is  fighting to prove his innocence.  Avery has filed a new 45 page motion asking for 'post-conviction testing of physical evidence since 'considerable progress has been made in forensic DNA methods.

Avery is in prison for the death of Teresa Halbach, a death he says he did not commit.  Avery is willing to pay for the extensive testing himself, he is trying to establish the age of his blood found in the victim's vehicle to see if the blood was planted.

Lawyers want the advanced DNA testing on new evidence that has yet to be screened in the case, as well as pre-existing evidence that was tested back during the trial almost a decade ago.

This latest motion comes on the heels of the news that Avery's nephew Brendan Dassey's conviction was overturned.

The questions and finger pointing continues in this case that has gripped the attention's attention.   It was amazing to watch.
